It’s important to have goals in life. Something you’re reaching towards. Something that drives your daily life. Maybe it’s not just one thing, maybe there are several.
My largest goal right now is to get myself down to a healthier weight. This is something that is going to take a lot of time and it’s going to be easy for me to get sidetracked on the journey. So, in an effort to keep me focused, I’m setting up fitness challenges.
I get bored with my workouts easily, so I need a purpose beyond my size. I need challenges that can be surmounted at regular, frequent intervals to keep me going. I need a more immediate desire to work towards, to succeed in so that it fuels me to persevere.
