sides: cauliflower and carrots with nutmeg

This side dish is awesome. Slightly sweet, slightly buttery, slightly exotic ,and super yummy.

  • 2 cups cauliflower flowerets
  • 2 cups julienne carrots (I like using the pre-cut carrot chips)
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsps butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients. Toss well and place mixture in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover dish tightly and bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
